Workforce Development 101 provides a foundational overview of the workforce development ecosystem, equipping practitioners with the knowledge and skills to effectively support job seekers and engage employers. Participants will explore key topics including system structure, practitioner mindsets, inclusion, barriers and disparities, and strategies for equity and systems change. The course introduces the dual-customer model and emphasizes partnership-based approaches that center job seeker voice and agency. Through an anti-racism lens, learners will build practical skills to navigate complex systems, apply equitable practices, and advocate for job seekers across stakeholders, including employers, training providers, and community organizations.
